About Us

Global Technology Preparatory Middle School is a small school opening with a 6th grade in 2009 as part of the New York City Department of Education Small Schools Initiative. We offer a stimulating, technologically based learning environment to all students. All of our classrooms are equipped with computers and the latest software to ensure that our students are prepared for the future.

The Global Technology Middle School team believes that its primary purpose is to educate each student to for the 21st century knowledge-based economy. We know that students will spend their working lives in increasingly competitive environments that are driven by technological innovations. Therefore, we push our students to the highest possible level of academic achievement by providing a curriculum designed around the thinking and skills needed for the 21st century.

To achieve this, our teaching and learning are centered around individualized digital portfolios. We are committed to helping students grow emotionally and develop social and digital citizenship skills. We believe in creating an environment that is supportive yet challenging though character building, critical thinking, and high expectations. Outside of our innovative, 21st century curriculum, students enjoy an array of extra-curricular activities. These include sports, leadership, and unique travel opportunities. Additionally, GTP parterns with world-class organizations to offer unique learning and internship opportunities.
